S3, 16 Rainforest Walk, Monash University

Organised by:
Biomedical Society

As the conclusion of the academic year draws ever closer, all of the Biomed Students are looking forward to all the extra time we will have once exams are over... so we can study for the GAMSAT. Whether you are a biomed student, science student, or from any other faculty - if you are considering studying post-grad medicine, this talk will provide you with crucial information regarding the GAMSAT admissions test.

It's true, those 6 hours (sometimes more) of joy may very well be the most important in the academic career of any hopeful med applicant, so your friends from the Biomed Society want to make sure you don't have to go it alone. This is why we are holding our 'GAMSAT Information Session' where we will help you understand the GAMSAT. The informal talk will include a breakdown of the exam, specific material to study over summer and general approaches to study techniques.

We at the biomed committee are very familiar with this test so you'll be hearing from people who know their stuff!

Included in the talk will be statistics regarding past year cut offs for getting into particular universities so you will have a better idea of what you need to get.

Alone, it may seem daunting... but together we can be ready to take it on! So if you're thinking about taking the GAMSAT then this is an event not to be missed.

As a special guest this year, to conclude the session, we will be having Joshua West, a 3rd year medical student at Monash University to speak to us about his experiences as a medical student!

and as always, pizza will be provided and this is a FREE event!

Week 9, Thursday 22nd September from 5pm-6pm in S3

See you all there!
