S3 (Thursday) and R5 (Monday)

Organised by:
Biomedical Society

It was once said that “learning to choose is hard. And learning to choose well is harder”. So why don’t you let the Monash Biomed Society help you out!
This year, we will once again be hosting our annual “Biomed Electives Information Session”.

Due to the popularity of last year’s event we have split our 2 hour event into 2 separate 1 hour events across 2 days.

If you're a second year moving into third year, because of the new 12 point core units you will only be able to pick 2 electives per semester next year! And if you're a first year moving into second year you will only be able to choose 1 elective per semester. So make sure you choose wisely!

Each session will be filled with all the information you need to pick the right second and third year electives, from the people you want to hear from most – the unit coordinators.

Giving you a firsthand look at what each biomed elective entails, this information session will not only provide information on the electives you’ve heard of, but also the ones you might not have known existed. Representatives from all the respective Biomedical Science Departments will be present across two days:

Thursday 15/09 in S3 (46 Exhibition Walk) 5PM - 6PM

BME (Biomedical Electives)
PHA (Pharmacology)
IMM (Immunology)
HUP (Human Pathology)
GEN (Genetics)
MIC (Microbiology)

Monday 19/09 in R5 (16 Rainforest Walk) 5PM - 6PM

BMS (Biomedical Core Units)
PHY (Physiology)
DEV (Developmental Biology)
BCH (Biochemistry)

and a special presenter from the new elective SCI3910, School Science Project!

As per most of our academic events, this event is FREE!

Hope to see you all there!
