The prestigious Just Leadership Program (JLP), in its 7th year in 2016, is a program open to all undergraduate and post-graduate law students. The program runs in Semester 2, and comprises of 11 seminars with Q&A panels. Topics include, among others: Environmental Justice, Mental Health & Physical Disability, Asylum Seekers' Rights, Indigenous Access to Justice, and - NEW in 2016 - Animal Law.

Participants gain access to incredible speakers from various legal professions. Past speakers include: the Honourable Michael Kirby AC, Christine Milne (former Senator and Greens leader), Rob Hulls (former Attorney-General of Victoria), and Julian Burnside AO QC (human rights advocate).

Participants also have the opportunity to work in small groups to produce a project in an area of social justice law. In the past, project groups have written blogs, made submissions to parliamentary inquiries and the Victorian Law Reform Commission, and published public policy articles.
