Coming up at the end of week 12 (the day after design finals, FYP reports, and presentation night) is SMEE's AGM. Lots of the current committee is graduating this year (only 2 committee members plan to stay on), so we are looking forward to get lots of new and excited committee members for 2016!
There will be 8 committee positions up for election. Each candidate is asked to make a short (1 - 2 minute) speech to introduce themselves and state why they want to be on committee. Candidates who wish to run for multiple positions may not have to make multiple speeches (at the discretion of the returning officer).

As always, there will be FREE PIZZA and soft drinks!
The positions are:
In charge of running the club, overseeing club activities, chairing committee meetings, and interacting with Monash Clubs & Societies office.
Assists the president in running the club, and performs any required duties if the president is unable to.
Manages club finances, receipts, and budget. Is in charge of submitting and passing the biannual audit.
Secretary: The main point of communication between the club and others. In charge of regular member emails, general club correspondence, and meeting minutes.
Careers and Sponsorship Representative:
In charge of interacting and liaising with companies in order to get sponsorship and attendance of careers related events. The Careers and Sponsorship Rep is also the primary committee member in charge of our yearly joint industry night.
In charge of all SMEE events, particularly social events. Great for anyone who loves planning things, getting people to come along, and seeing them have lots of fun. New and creative ideas for events are definitely a plus for any events rep!
Fourth Year Representative:
The fourth year rep is in charge of interacting with students of their year level, promoting SMEE events to them, and receiving feedback. The fourth year rep also assists the careers and sponsorship rep in planning and running the yearly industry night. Any student studying an ECE4xxx coded subject is eligible to run.
Third Year Representative:
The third year rep is in charge of interacting with students of their year level, promoting SMEE events to them, and receiving feedback. The third year rep also assists the events rep in planning and running social events through the year. Any student studying an ECE3xxx coded subject is eligible to run.
