When:
23 March, 2017

Location:
Cinque Lire Cafe

Organised by:
Biomedical Society

According to student surveys, many Monash biomedical science students feel as though there are only two career prospects following completion of their degree: clinical medicine or research.

The key reason behind this belief is that biomedical science students are simply unaware of the huge range of careers on offer that both do and do not require extra studies.

2017 will be the third consecutive year that the Monash Biomed Society has run its ‘Industry Evening.’ For the past 2 years, this event has been extraordinarily successful, with over 100 students in attendance at each of the events. The aim of this event is to inform students about the possible career paths out of a degree in biomedical science through discussion with people from a large variety of careers related to biomedical science.

How the event runs:

Following a keynote speech from one of our guests, students and professionals will be encouraged to ‘mingle’ with one another, with the discussions geared towards the nature of the profession, extra education required and other information about the job.

What to bring:

All you need to bring is your student card with a membership sticker and a keenness to chat to professionals to learn about exciting careers.

Date: Thursday, 23rd of March, 2017.
Time: The event will run from 5:30pm-7:30pm
