Come along to our OGM for your chance to learn about the exciting events lined up for you this year and the club committee also has a few positions open for elections. Joining the club committee is a great opportunity to strengthen your CV as well as broaden your professional network. The positions available for election are listed below with a description of what is involved in the role.

We'll also be doing club sign ups so you can vote, but this is also a great opportunity to get your free ticket to our upcoming Aerospace Industry Night! With exhibitors such as BAE Systems, Boeing, Jetstar, and more, be sure to sign up here to attend this event for free!

The job descriptions for these positions are:
Treasurer
(i) attend committee meetings and General Meetings;
(ii) keep the club’s financial books in order, in accordance with the requirements of the Clubs & Societies Council;
(iii) prepare a club budget, at least annually;
(iv) collect and bank all income in the club’s bank account;
(v) prepare the club’s financial books for audit, semi-annually;
(vi) submit a financial report to the AGM; and
(vii) liaise with the Clubs & Societies Council on any financial requirements.

Events Manager
(i) attend committee meetings and General Meetings;
(ii) coordinate and manage the Activities portfolio;
(iii) oversee the organisation of club events;
(iv) oversee the production of activities related publications;
(v) coordinate resources required for particular events/activities/excursions;
(vi) ensure adherence to C&S requirements for off-campus events;
(vii) liaise with other committee members and keep them informed of organising details; and
(viii) look for and suggest suitable activities/excursions and events for the club.

First Year Representative
(i) attend committee meetings and general meetings;
(ii) to liaise with students of first year and keep them informed of upcoming events and activities;
(iii) to raise any issues specific to first year students with the committee;
(iv) Help in the organisation and operation of events.
