Ever wondered about the economics of developing nations? Want to know about the role of disruptive forces such as startups and new technology in Australia and beyond?

Have a conversation with esteemed Economists, Jim Minifie and Lisa Cameron and find out!

Currently the Director of the Productivity and Growth Program at Grattan Institute, Minifie has previously worked closely with Australian corporate leaders during his seven years as Chief Economist of the Boston Consulting Group. Having graduated from Stanford University, he is an accomplished economist and writer, with a strong grasp of the Australian political and economic landscape.

Along with Jim Minifie we have Lisa Cameron - our very own professor in the department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Monash. Having studied at the University of Melbourne she completed her Ph.D. at Princeton University and has done some remarkable work for DFAT and the World Bank in relation to economic development and inequality in Indonesia.

But there's more! Since any engaging conversation seems incomplete without a nice cuppa, ESSA will be providing hot coffee and tea along with a few delicious nibbles.

Keep out of the cold and join us at 5.45 pm for a 6pm start so you don't miss out on your free hot drink!

We can't wait to see you there!
