we are hosting a General Meeting with an Introduction to Urban Permaculture from our long time friend and Collaborator, Seila Hirek of Childs Play Permaculture.

Agenda: Meeting to commence 4:15pm.

- Welcoming, honouring of country
- Ratifying Previous minutes and motions
- Introduction to upcoming projects, working B's, Wholefoods and Permaculture collaboration at MPG and positions available
-Progress of the seedlings and direction's for upcoming plantings

- Following the meeting, commencing at 5:00pm will be the Intro to Permaculture workshop

This workshop will give an introduction to permaculture, which is an agro-ecological approach to food production. It will show how permaculture can be applied in the urban garden. Permaculture concepts covered; herb spirals, the use of swales, care and uses of chickens, food forest's, composting, intensive planting systems and perennial plants.

Seila Hierk has a degree in Agricultural Science, Grad Dip in Education, Masters in Social Science (International Development) and a permaculture design certificate. Seila has over 5 years experience teaching intensive garden systems to primary schools and has been advising the Monash Permaculture group for the past 5 years. Seila runs numerous workshops for councils and other organisations on wick garden beds, Asian vegetables, intensive planting systems and sustainable gardening.
