Industry Seminar: Teach For Australia
24 March, 2016
Lawson Room, Rm 201, 22 Alliance Lane
Society of Chemical Engineers
Our next seminar will be led by…… Teach For Australia!
By age 15, children from low socioeconomic households are on average three years behind in school than those from high-income households. Teach For Australia is a Not-For-Profit organisation who train and recruit students and teachers from a range of disciplines with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of education for all children, regardless of background. Their Leadership Development Program recruits graduates to teach in disadvantaged communities for two years, where they will not only have the chance to make a big impact on students' lives but also complete a Master of Teaching (Secondary) degree.
If you’d like to hear more about Teach for Australia and their programs offered to students (and let's not forget the pizza) come along Thursday 24th March.
