Reviews
Outstandingly well put together. Readings and lectures intertwine in content, nothing is irrelevant, and while the assignment marking is harsh as any PSY unit, the exam is multiple choice and a breeze. Overall, the best part, I feel smarter for having taken it. This unit is something everyone on the planet should be exposed to.

I found the content wasn't too hard to memorise, and it was fairly interesting (although I found that the social component was better than the personality segment). The major issue was the essay. The lecturers advised us to take whatever approach we wanted, then criticised us for not answering the question in the (rather particular) way that they wanted. Most people were lucky to pass (I think the average was a high pass), and I don't think there was a single HD. Whilst I'll accept that there were areas that I didn't explore properly, leaving a comment with 7 consecutive question marks is disrespectful. I put many hours of work into researching, writing, and editing that essay, and I think it's reasonable for me to expect that the marker will treat my hard work with at least some respect. I'm willing to accept constructive criticism, but learning to write better essays is much harder when it's pure criticism.

Interesting, enjoyable and fairly straightforward unit. The assignment is hard to do well.

This unit allows you to gain an insight into how people socialise with others and provides information about personality styles. Most of the information is applicable to the real-world.

Interesting subject. You learn more about why people, their interactions/ relationships turn out the way they do.

interesting unit, the content is mostly straightforward especially in the social psychology topics, as a lot of it can largely be associated with common sense (even mentioned in the introduction lecture), there's just more background to some of the things most people already know and why
