This has been the most boring and dull unit I've experienced. Fortunately, there was no exam for this lackluster unit. The assignments were vague and lacked clarity, and the tutors did not provide adequate explanations or guidance. Overall, it felt like an absolute waste of time. For Education students for whom this is a core unit, good luck.

Tiffany was great. Even doing the course as an external student I felt included and engaged. Very interesting content

This was my favourite unit I studied in my first year. I loved every second. The lectures were engaging and interesting, and the tutorials followed that with fantastic discussions (I had Scott who was just awesome). Tiffany made this unit what it was for me, with her energetic attitude, fantastic activities, and willingness to always be available to answer questions or even just have a chat (I was late a few times due to this, she's truly lovely). Tiffany and the staff understand that it's most people's first time's at university and really allow for some slack with getting a grip on uni life and how to manage everything. The assignments were simple but made me actually want to do them (which was a first). If I could give this more stars I would. An amazing unit and the best start to university I could've asked for.

Definitely the most interesting first year education unit. Tiffany made the lectures interesting and informative. She was also helpful on iLearn and directed us to do what she wanted with the essay. Essay wasn't marked harshly and was interesting enough to write about without getting bored. Exam was quite literally the easiest exam ever (probably because it was a first time unit). Marked on participation and presentations every week. The presentations took up most of the tutorial time which reiterated the information learnt from that week. Anastasia, my tutor was helpful and not condescending. 10/10 unit!!!

Reiterating what the previous comments said, Tiffany is amazing. Hands down one of the funnest units ever. Everything is coordinated so well and the assessments are a breeeze to pass (and do well in). The lectures are actually so entertaining and everything is SO clear and easy to follow. Seriously, enjoy this unit as EDST101 is a DISASTER.

like the other comments have said the lectures are great and the final exam was a breeze. my only thing i would say is that the marking for the written assignments is quite hard and even if tiffany tries to hide her favouritism, she really cant help herself so i say just get on her good side, that is if she ends up being your tutor like she was mine. the in class presentations were fine but if you really want to please tiffany here, you need to make your own findings - like a survey or something in class to prove your point (she loves that stuff).

Really great unit and super interesting!! For a student first semester, first year doing education this unit will really make you happy about choosing education! Tiffany is the best lecturer I have ever met and the lectures are actually so fun!! (No joke).

This subject was really easy, yet very interesting. The content was a good mix of interesting, but also a lot of information to learn (still easy with a lot of studying). You will heavily be focusing on the textbook which i surprising really enjoyed (the author is always basically roasting the government and bigots). The lecturer is full of life, she's super cute and sweet sounding, laughs a lot, you can't help but smile. The only drawback is that most of the tutorials was receiving information in the format of STUDENT-held classes due to a semester long assessment where each formed group will have to present and hold a powerpoint presentation tutorial during your one time assigned week. My tutor, whilst kind, never really knew what to say. He didn't seem very confident as when students finished their presentations early, he was very awkward and repeated information back at us that the students already said in their presentations. However, you may not have him as a tutor. Even if you do, at very least he's never judgemental and very easy-going. Overall, I enjoyed this subject and it's content.
