Reviews

It’s a relatively easy unit. It’s just a matter of memorising theories and being able to explain it effectively, which shouldn’t be difficult for business students. The content however is slightly boring, but the lecturer is engaging enough to off set that. It’s also great that at the end of the semester, our Unit Convener told us exactly what topics are included in the final exam, which helped with studying.

Good elective to do for your arts degree. Lectures well organised and interesting content.

They mark the assignment very hard. It's a boring subject since it's all the introductory stuff. You can easily pass this without working too hard if you have business studies knowledge

A pretty good people unit elective, easy to still do well in without watching the lectures, engaging tutorials. The group assignment was a downside to the unit and was harshly marked

the lecturer is really good and knowledgeable and the content is somewhat interesting but i really disliked the structure of the unit. all the assessments are group work related which means that you usually get a lower mark than you deserve because of the lazy people in the group. both assessments were marked harshly which was unfair - hence the 2 star rating. would have been better if there was more of an individual component to the unit. overall good unit but the structure in terms of assessments/grading is poor and needs to be revised.

Good foundational subject for HR majors or commerce subjects in general if you're looking at doing it as a people unit. Lectures weren't really overly helpful though.

This subject is a little dull but still interesting. It's important to keep up to date with each topic.

The teacher was not suitable.

This was an alright class, good for me as i could relate it to my current job. The lectures were extremely boring, I stopped attending after the fourth one but the tutorials were really good, it was really interesting talking about it. there was a lot of reading to do: some was interesting, other stuff really boring and hard to read. Overall it was alright subject, fairly easy to get good marks. My tutor marked really harsh and sometimes unfair. The debates were good way to learn about the different topics.
