Imam Bukhari, said that knowledge must precede any action. Dawah, much like knowledge has been made obligatory upon each and every muslim. However to give dawah a da'ee must be accustomed in the fundamentals of Islam and be aware of the basic principles which dictate ones belief.

MUMSA presents you the “Invite to Light”, dawah series. “Initiate the spark” is the first of these workshops, which aims to lay the foundations and aids the aspiring daee to master the fundamentals of Dawah, so that they may confidently start their journey to invite others to the light.

The workshop will address the following structured topics:
1. The importance of Dawah, Why as Muslims we have been prescribed this task, and what the Allah and Rasul said about Dawah.
2. A methodological approach to Dawah: Proving the basic fundamentals of Islam, The existence of Allah, The legitimacy of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad.
3. Emotional Intelligence – Techniques to understanding people and building ones confidence, maximising interaction, and the multimodal forms of Dawah.

11:15am - 11:30am: Break (questions)
11:30am - 12:10pm: Methodological approach to Dawah: Proving the basic fundamentals of Islam Part 1
12:10pm - 1:00pm: Break
1:00pm - 1:40pm: Methodological approach to Dawah: Proving the basic fundamentals of Islam Part 2
1:40pm - 1:50pm: Break (questions)
1:50 - 2:30pm: Emotional Intelligence: Understanding people, maximising interaction, and the diverse platforms to give Dawah.
