The Blessed Guest | Pt 2: Reach Out
26 June, 2016
Western Sydney Region (TBA)
Muslim Student Association (MUMSA)
MUMSA in partnership with House of Mercy is excited to present the second instalment of The Blessed Guest titled Reach Out!
Reach Out will be a fun-filled day hosted on the 26th of June for the children of single mothers in our community followed by a communal iftar for all attendees- aiming to unite the Ummah during a time where community spirit is so important. There will be jumping castles, face-painting, fun games and sport competitions, art and craft, wacky science activities and more bi'thnillah.
THIS SPECIAL DAY WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS.
"So how can I help?” If you are someone who is passionate about working with children, wants to reap the rewards of giving sadaqah (REMEMBER- a smile is also charity!) in the blessed month of Ramadan, or wants to help benefit the Ummah, then this is the perfect event for you! REGISTER HERE to become a volunteer: http://tinyurl.com/MUMSAreachout
Your role as volunteer will consist of running specific activities for children during the day, supervising the children and serving iftar. You will be partnered up with fellow volunteers. Qualifications are not required. All we ask of volunteers is to bring ENTHUSIASM, COMPASSION and SINCERE INTENTIONS! Detailed volunteer instructions will be provided closer to the date insha'Allah. The event will be gender segregated.
This initiative is focused on bringing joy to others, touching hearts and supporting the community during the blessed month of Ramadan. Let's show support to the single mothers of our community and put a smile on the faces of their beautiful children.
