Location:
Macquarie University Campus Hub, Drysdale Room, Level 3

Macquarie United Nation Society (MUNS)

Our next conference AMUNC is coming up swiftly and MUNS is kicking off our training/pizza eating end of semester Mini-MUN!

The topic of the Assembly will be:
'Preserving the Socio-Cultural Practices of Religious and Ethnic Minorities' as a human rights issue in the Third Committee of the General Assembly (SOCHUM)

A briefing paper outlining the topic courtesy of Bodie D’Orazio & Mia Reimers can be found here:

A draft resolution to amend during the session:

So whether you're a first timer curious to see how the whole MUN thing works or a seasoned veteran come along and listen to North Korea teach us all about their perfect Human Rights Record.

Start thinking about countries that you would like to represent and what they would think about these issues. We will be allocating countries on a first come first serve basis, so get there early!

In the spirit of diplomacy we invite everyone to join us for drinks and general fun times at MQ Ubar kicking off at 5:30 before we get started at 6:00 in the Drysdale room :)
