Harmony Day is a celebration of our cultural diversity – a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home.
It is with this message in mind that Macquarie's Student Equity and Diversity team present this year's panel discussion, How is the rise of global extremism effecting Australia’s cultural harmony?
Come along for your chance to participate in the Q&A style discussion. The panel will be led by three leading Macquarie academics: Dr Julian Droogan and Lise Waldek from the Department of Security Studies and Criminology, and Dr Noah Bassil, Director of Centre for Middle East and North African Studies. The discussion will be kicked off with a performance by INK DEPENDENT, winners of the Bankstown Slam Poetry Grand Final.
There will also be a surprise Oxfam initiative which we are all really excited for.
Lunch, and slam poetry, what more could a gal want 😏.
