Thursday 17th March marks Close the Gap Day.

What is Close the Gap Day?
Indigenous Australians are still falling short in receiving adequate access to health services. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People can expect to live up to 10–17 years less than non-Indigenous Australians. As a result, Close the Gap day has been put in place to ensure the Australian government and local communities do their best to ensure Indigenous Australians are provided with the right health support they deserve.

What is OxfamMQ doing to support this cause?
In collaboration with the Office of Indigenous Strategy at MQ Uni, we're holding an event on campus to bring awareness to this pressing issue.

Where to find us:
Find us in the Campus Hub (near Boost Juice) on Thursday 17th March 2016 12-2pm.

Make your mark at this event with hand painting on our Close the Gap campaign banner! Cant wait to see you there!
