The Melbourne Cup is celebrated each year as "the race that stops a nation", but Melbourne Cup Day is no fun for the horses.

Join ALMU to help us educate and inform students and staff about the many issues surrounding horse-racing with our flyers and leaflets, and encourage people not to bet on this cruelty!

We will be holding an information table in the Central Courtyard from 11-2pm the day before the Cup. If you can spare any time during the day to volunteer with us it will be great appreciated, and it's an easy way to get involved and speak out for the horses!

The horse-racing industry is host to many issues for horses, including wastage of unwanted horses, internal and external injuries, and deaths on & off the track. To find out more, visit www.horseracingkills.com
