Come see us in the Agora on Friday May 20th between 11am-2pm for Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution Day!

Food Revolution Day is an annual global day of action that promotes fresh, wholesome food. In an age where over 60% of Australians are overweight, there has never been a better time to educate people about the benefits of healthy eating.

We understand that sometimes being at uni can mean that your eating habits become skewed. We get it. We’re frantically running between classes, cramming for tests and somehow trying to balance work, social and family life. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t eat healthily. Sometimes talking to someone and adopting small changes can help in a big way.

As student nutritionists and dietitians, we would like to inspire you to adopt healthy habits into your everyday life. No need for expensive sugar alternatives, powdered seaweed or “superfoods” (what does that even mean?). We want to talk to you about the food that is available to you, your concerns, and help you understand what a healthy diet means.

We’ll guide you through what’s in season, give you simple and easy recipes, explain to you the Australian Dietary Guidelines and Guide to Healthy Eating and hand out some yummy snacks. Some of us are great cooks, so if you need some tips or if you’re burning to ask a cooking related question, I’m sure we can help you. We’ll have awesome cookbooks you can flick through before your next class as well as a few games and activities.

We’d love to see you there. You can join the revolution too at: http://www.jamiesfoodrevolution.org/
