JMAC Does Media Drinks
2 March, 2016
La Trobe University Journalism, Media, Arts and Communication Society
Journalism Media Arts and Communications Society (JMACS)
The MEAA are holding the Melbourne Media drinks on the 2nd this much. Curb the blow of your semester start and the end to 12 hours of Netflix on Monday with a glass of vino at Melbourne’s premier social and networking event for the Media industry.
This time round we are taking a pack of JMAC members to mingle, make friends and mystify (no pressure) your future colleagues and employers.
Speakers on the night include:
Sarah Danckert and Nick Toscano (Fairfax)
Jessica Longbottom (ABC)
Ashley Argoon (Herald Sun)
Myriam Robin (Crikey)
Canapés will be provided with drinks at bar prices.
You do not have to be a member of the MEAA to attend and the event is free, however you do have to register. Follow this link to do so: https://www.meaa.org/events/melbourne-media-drinks/
Let us know in the comments when you have, so we know you’re coming.
JMAC will probably get a cheap pho somewhere after – more details to come.
P.S - The Media, Entertainment, Arts Alliance (MEAA) is the union which looks after media and communications practitioners in Australia. They are important and friendly, and we like them. (just in case you were wondering)
