La Trobe University A Look Into African Society (ALIAS) would like to cordially invite you to our second annual Africa Day Celebration!

Africa Day marks the day that the African Union was formed primarily to unify African countries against colonial rule. Since then the day has been marked as a celebration of the independence movement of many African nations during the 20th Century as well as the diversity and vibrancy of its many cultures.

To celebrate Africa day at La Trobe, ALIAS is hosting a vibrant mini-festival in the Agora that will include art, music, dance performances and food, in order to showcase and share our diverse cultures with our fellow La Trobians.
