Thriving Communities Gathering and the Permaculture Association AGM

AGM runs 10am - 12.30pm (for Permaculture Association members).
Thriving Communities Gathering 12.30pm - 8pm open to all.

The mission of the Permaculture Association is to "Empower people to design thriving communities across Britain, and contribute to permaculture worldwide."

This gathering is in honor of that mission, with an intention to explore the value of permaculture to tackling some of the major social issues happening in this country, particularly those occurring within disadvantaged, predominantly urban communities.

WHAT'S HAPPENING
Expect skill sharing sessions, case studies, a Diploma presentation and introductions to some great projects being run by the Association and its members.

The day includes a light lunch and the chance for introductions, sharing and catching up with friends old and new.

The programme includes:
* World Cafe session on the new Friends of Permaculture scheme
*A tour of Graceworks and local projects including a green roof and community gardens
*Creating Gardens of Sanctuary - A refugee and asylum seeker project - with Ben Margolis
* Permaculture in Prisons with Nicole Vosper
*Designing Urban Spaces with permaculture - with Jennifer Lauruol
*Positive Partnerships - Working with prisons, schools and local councils - with Jo Metcalfe of Greener Growth
*Reciprocity in Communities - Working with deprivation - with Charlie Gray of Horton Community Farm & Grow Bradford
*Hyde Park Source - Urban community project in Leeds that uses permaculture in design and process - with Pete Tatham
*Using the Design Web - Diploma Accreditation with Anna Locke
*Permaculture for Social Change - with Wenderlynn Bagnall
