About the Author

Fr Alexander Jones led the editorial team which translated the Jerusalem Bible into English from the original scriptures. He was a senior lecturer in divinity at Christ's College, Liverpool, and was considered one of the world's leading biblical scholars. He died in 1970.

    This is an excellent binding of the Jerusalem Bible. It is very hard to come by a sewn binding of this translation which will last through the years, but this edition is indeed sewn. One would do well to buy this while available. The cover itself is a cloth-like heavy paper over board that has no markings or text, save for the spine.

    Definitely buy this copy as soon as you can if you enjoy this translation and would like a copy that will last you many, many years.
