About the authors
David A. Buchanan BA PhD FRSA FCIPD FBAM FAcSS
David is Emeritus Professor of Organizational Behaviour at Cranfield University School of Management, UK, and Visiting Professor at Nottingham Business School. He is a freelance researcher and author, and a speaker specializing in executive development in change management, and organization politics. He has a Doctorate in Organizational Behaviour from Edinburgh University, was Director of Loughborough University Business School in the 1990s, and has worked often in Australia and Sweden.
He is author/co-author of over two dozen books, including the best-seller, Organizational Behaviour (with Andrzej Huczynski; eleventh edition 2023). He has co-authored books on change management, including: The Sustainability and Spread of Organizational Change (with Louise Fitzgerald and Diane Ketley, 2007), Power, Politics, and Organizational Change (with Richard Badham; third edition 2019), and Managing Organizational Change (with Ian Palmer and Richard Dunford, 2022). He has also written numerous journal articles, book chapters, and other articles on organizational behaviour, change, and research methods - including Unconventional Methods in Organization and Management Research, co-edited with Alan Bryman (Oxford University Press, 2018).
David’s most recent book, Managing Organizational Change: A Multiple Perspectives Approach, co-authored with Ian Palmer and Richard Dunford, was published by McGraw-Hill, Chicago, in 2022 (fourth edition). A fifth edition is now in development.
