Product description

Review

'The quality of this course is now very hard to match indeed.' Journal of Classics Teaching

Review of previous edition: 'A really excellent series of textbooks! Reading Greek itself is enough for learning ancient Greek. My two years' experience (2006-2008) proved this. Well-organized grammar and vocabulary, interesting texts, numerous, step-by-step exercises, wonderful audio CD, a friendly independent study guide … all these guarantee the learners' efficiency and speed.' Yuanguo He, Professor of Classics, School of History, Wuhan University

Book Description

Updated guide and answer-book for those using the second edition of Reading Greek.

5.0 out of 5 stars Il greco antico da autodidatta

Contiene la risoluzione degli esercizi presenti nella grammatica oltre alle versioni del testo base. Insieme agli altri due testi, consente di progredire nello studio del greco antico da autodidatti. Uniche avvertenze: conoscenza base dell'inglese e una minima conoscenza dell'alfabeto greco.

I learned Greek with the first edition of Reading Greek and had the independent study guide in the form of an A4 book. As I have the 2nd edition I needed this study guide as the 2nd edition exercises are different from the first. It arrived within the time promised.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Greek learning resources out there!

I'm a Latin instructor, and I've studied enough Greek to recognize the difference between good and bad Greek textbooks.

This is one of the good ones. It focuses on accessibility and multiple method language acquisition. Unlike many Greek texts out there (e.g., I've heard so many students say this of Hansen&Quinn), there's no attitude of "only the best should study Greek, and if you can't adjust to outdated pedagogy then maybe that's not you." This combines the best of clearly presented grammar approach books like Crosby&Schaeffer with the reading and narrative approach of Athenaze.

Is it a little annoying to have to buy three books to teach yourself? Yeah, but it's 10000% worth it.

(I am submitting this same review for the other two books in the set.)

Ele ajuda muito na obra Aprendendo Grego da JACT. Seria muito bom ter essa obra traduzida em português. Recomendo esse Study Guide.
