    2006 Martin & Porter Movie Guide

    I bought the first issue of the Martin & Porter Video Movie Guide back in 1992. I used it on a regular and frequent basis. It was simply indispensable as a movie guide and much better than similar products.

    I recently decided it was time to update my 1992 version of the book and purchased the 2006 version. I dare say it is even better than the already great 1992 version.

    While these guides are superb, they aren't perfect and certain films slip by undetected and thus there is no review. To combat this problem I bought another Movie/DVD guide authored by Leonard Maltin.

    In my opinion, the Martin & Porter book is much better than the Maltin publication. There are too many oddities about the Maltin book. The Martin & Porter book is by far user friendly.

    Go with the Martin & Porter guide. You won't be disappointed.

    I bought this for friends who live over in England. They had bought the 2001 edition while living here in the U.S. They swore by the 2001 edition and used it constantly. They called to report it was falling apart, and they could not find a replacement in England. I found the 2006 version on Amazon.com; bought it; and had it shipped directly to them in England. It was delivered within 10 days. They called to report it had arrived and were very pleased.
