Let me guess? You bought this because you are enrolled in a course taught by the author and were told this was the approved text. This book is horrible. Ridiculously florid writing. The author's analysis of cases and explanation of legal principles frequently make numerous points that are completely opposed and nonsensical, pontificating on and on in circular logic. I had to augment with another standard IL text. He tests out of this book though, so you are forced to buy it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A book of this scale is better off in hardcover
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThe content is great, but, given the book is over 1000 pages long, it will take a substantial amount of time to read, thus enduring a lot of wear and tear. Already after just the first chapter, the edges are bent and frayed, especially when used to get away from one's desk and taken to more comfortable locations, including outdoors. A hardcover would have been better.
