The online edition access promised on the book front and inside cover doesn’t exist. I contacted the publisher and sent them photos and all the info they requested for my new book purchase and nothing. So it’s a scam. I don’t recommend this book or publisher at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most practical atlas ,easy to understand and visually pleasing
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 August 2019
            Format: PaperbackVerified Purchase
This book has never stoped surprising me,used it 27 years ago,now bought it for my daughter. The realistic pictures are perfect and something which most medical students will see in reality in there anatomy cathedrals as bodies are mostly preserved in formaldehyde and muscles, vessels, nerves would be same as depicted in this atlas. A truly unique atlas if you don’t get a chance to dissect a body yourself . Mostly now in medical schools you are given a dissected body revealing all the important structures and relations, demonstrated by your Anatomy lecturer/demonstrator. The unique thing now in this edition compared to 27 years ago is that it gives you an early taste of radiology and how to identify different body parts from X-rays. It does not have enough MRI or CT images ,but that would have defeated the original scope of this book as it is truly meant for medical students. A must have for any medical student. More than enough anatomy one needs to know initially.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential for first year medical students!

Absolutely love this wonderful book with great illustrations and solid photographs of anatomy. What I love most about it, though, is that it contains many figures that show the anatomy within an actual corpse - necessary sometimes for our anatomical understanding in the medical field. Everything is clearly labeled, beautifully done and the book is high quality. I just bought this to upgrade my current edition, but you don't have to buy new at all - one of the things that never changes is the anatomy of the human body, and this will definitely help you when studying for those practical exams!
