5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for self-study - some mistakes
Verified PurchaseAn elementary and thorough introduction to mechanical vibrations Also included is a chapter on Finite Element Method, Vibration Control and a short introduction to Non-linear systems. Excellent for self-study. I worked almost every example with Matlab to get a good feel of the equations, in doing so, I found several results my results did not agree with. I was able to get the results of Laplace using Matlab Symbolic Tools, and also Symbolic Integration. In almost all cases I produced results in graphical form so I could see if the answer is what I expected. All in all, a most excellent endeavor!
