Computer Networking: A Top-Down Approach: International Edition Paperback – 3 May 2012

4.4 out of 5 stars 655 ratings

Building on the successful top-down approach of previous editions, the Sixth Edition of Computer Networkingcontinues with an early emphasis on application-layer paradigms and application programming interfaces (the top layer), encouraging a hands-on experience with protocols and networking concepts, before working down the protocol stack to more abstract layers.

This book has become the dominant book for this course because of the authors’ reputations, the precision of explanation, the quality of the art program, and the value of their own supplements.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast Shipping!

This book arrived much quicker than I expected, especially considering how far it had to travel to get here (It arrived faster than other items I have previously ordered that shipped from much much closer). The books spine was damaged a bit when it got here, however, I kind of expected it to get beat up a bit considering how far it had to come. Also, I don't blame them at all for this. It's just one of those gambles you take because it goes from different shipping locations where it gets tossed around and sorted. I'm just happy they have such great shipping and I was able to save a ton of money on this school book by ordering through them. :)

Il prodotto, anche se venduto come usato, risulta come nuovo, nessun segno di usura, eccezion fatta per la copertina posteriore un po spiegazzata (come era stato specificato dal rivenditore). Piacevolmente sorpreso.

5.0 out of 5 stars Possibly the best book on computer networking I've ever got my hands ...

Possibly the best book on computer networking I've ever got my hands on. The top-down approach in addition to the great examples and graphics make things so much easier to understand. Also the fact that the authors justify most of the decisions taken in building the Internet really makes you feel a part of the process.
