Review
"Lust’s The Middle East is one of the best introductory texts on the region. It covers a large amount of material, while addressing current issues and historical processes in an unbiased manner, a core strength of the text." -- Jacqueline Sievert
"Lust′s The Middle East is an extraordinarily useful text for courses in Middle East Politics. The articles in the volume are very well researched and accessible to students, and as current as can be. I highly recommend it." -- Ricardo Laremont

4.0 out of 5 stars World Religion and Culture
Verified PurchaseThis text is required for my Middle East and North Africa class this semester, and I rented it not knowing how handy it would be to fully comprehend the research and origin of many MENA history and culture.

1.0 out of 5 stars THERE WAS PORN IN MY BOOK
Verified PurchaseI ordered this textbook a few days ago for my Middle Eastern Politics class and it came within the 2 day period. I got it delivered to my job and I opened it AT MY JOB and there was a pornographic dvd the middle of my book. Luckily, only my co-workers were around to see it and not my manager so it saved me some embarrassment, but I cannot believe this.
