This is the most useful textbook I have ever used. For any subject or any course. I am using this textbook to help me learn Medical School Anatomy and it is perfect for my learning style. This book breaks down every body area down into their bones, muscles, nerves, arteries, veins, lymphatic, and organs (for Thorax and abdomen), but also provides comprehensive images so you can see how everything goes together. It also provides summary tables for all of the muscles (including origin, insertion, innervation and function) broken down by compartment (i.e. lateral compartment of the leg, anterior compartment of the leg etc. It also breaks the nerves down so you can see each nerve separately before having to see them all at once, and it provides tables with includes the branching of nerves and the muscles and cutaneous areas that they innervate.
I was an engineer before medical school so the systematic breakdown of the anatomy is absolutely perfect for me. I would also recommend it to anyone out there who is Dyslexic and trying to learn anatomy, or really anyone who can't rote memorize, but needs to learn material conceptually and in an organized manner.
Seriously, I could not recommend this book more highly. I am at a medical school with one of the more rigorous anatomy courses out there and I have needed no other resources besides this book.
If you're on the fence about what anatomy book to buy, don't be. Buy this one. Its amazing and you won't regret it.
For the record, I have been using the printed edition, not the Kindle one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Atlas! but...
Format: PaperbackVerified Purchasethe quality of the mail transport of Amazon was not good. The book was damaged when I received it. Not the first time in the last months.
To the book itself: Great realistic images (similar to german Prometheus Atlas), easy to navigate in, much more detail than Netters and better overview. Netter is the past, Gilroy is the future!

5.0 out of 5 stars ottimo manuale a prezzi accessibili
Molto contenta dell'acquisto. consiglio
