Reviews

Great overview of psychology and all its theories and major contributors. a vast amount of knowledge, but not too in depth. It's easy to see how it's applicable in everyday life, and it also provides a fantastic foundation for further study.

Awesome subject! goes through basic psychology theories and some basic neuroscience. Alittle upset it doesn't go more into Frued and his theories though

Loved this unit! Very similar to year 12 Psychology with a few extra topics. There was an assignment (50%) and exam (50%) which were both quite good and lots of support from the teaching team! Theres a bit of (very interesting) content so if you leave studying to the last minute you may struggle- just like any other subject! Would definitely recommend

Really enjoyed this unit. No concept maps anymore, so assessment was just a 50% assignment and 50% exam. If you keep up with the weekly reading, you will do really well.

Great introductory unit! I didn't like the concept maps but I appreciated what they were trying to do.. The lab report was great and overall I loved the delivery

Awesome introduction to Psychology for a first year uni student! Leads on from year 12 with heaps of extended information, ideas and theories. Really really interesting and all the tutors are awesome. Challenging in the best way possible, but really fun and thoroughly enjoyable :)

Very interesting subject- if you have done Psychology in Year 12- this is very similar content just abit more detailed. and yayy no exam :) Rated 4 stars as I didn't enjoy the concept roadmaps (have to do 1 for each topic, so 6 in total), which is very time consuming and frustrating at times, wish there was more help on how to properly make the concept roadmaps. But overall great unit and fantastic staff :)

This unit is a great first-year level introduction to the world of Psychology. Many students will find that it is similar in content to that of Year 12 VCE Psychology, but perhaps a little more in-depth in certain areas. A thoroughly enjoyable class for those interested in pursuing psychology as a career, or even those potentially interested as filling an elective gap with a psychology unit.
