Location:
Deakin University Burwood Campus HD3.009

Organised by:
Science Society Burwood

The Deakin Science Society is running a Placement Panel for all science students to help them prepare for their Professional Practice units! If you are enrolling in, or plan to enrol in SLE390, SLE301, or SLE352 then this is the event for you!

Whether you're a first, second or third year (or any other year), if you want to know more information about the placement units you can and have to undertake to finish your degree, come along and find all the information you need to know.

On the panel we will have university staff, alumni, and a guest speaker! It’s an opportunity to hear from a range of relevant university staff on the value of placement and how to find placements. They will also run through the requirements and the process of applying. Prior students will be sharing their own experiences, and a guest speaker will be joining us to discuss what employers expect from applications and behaviours that will assist students in getting references for future jobs. During this event there will be also time for questions and one-on-one discussions with other students and the panel speakers.

Canapés and light refreshments will be provided.
This is a FREE event!

We look forward to seeing you all there!

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to message us on our Facebook Page, or through email - deakinsciencesociety@gmail.com
