24 September, 2015
Curtin University, Building 108.111
” Have a heart, lend a hand, stand out and Make a Difference"
What is volunteering?
It is an act of spending time and providing unpaid skills and services, which intends to benefit and help people, organisations and the environment.
•Volunteers are often the glue that holds the community together.
•Even the smallest tasks can make a BIG difference to the lives of people in need. No act of kindness is too small!
•Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you to make new friends, expand your network and boost your social skills.
•Volunteering abroad will allow you to see a new culture from the inside like how South Africans greet their friends! Or learn a new lingo! The world is filled with unique experiences but it is easy to miss them if your just passing by!
•It will allow you to develop your career, be open minded, get out of your comfort zone and gain valuable leadership skills, confidence skills and the like!
•It will be bags of FUN!
Come to our Open House event and find out more about what it's like to be a volunteer and to see the other side of the world.
