Hi guys! Who’s keen to go stargazing - with cameras??

We’ll be heading out to Mundaring Weir at night in a couple of weeks for some astrophotography, and Mundaring is a great spot to do it - so many stars to see!

You’ll have the opportunity to take long exposures and capture the night sky like you just can’t in Perth.

WHEN: 5:45-11:30pm Saturday August 15th

WHERE: We’ll meet at the Curtin Stadium Car Park at 5:45, for a prompt 6pm departure to Mundaring Weir. Since we are carpooling, there are limited seats so please sign up via the Google Docs form, if you are able to drive, let us know! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/13BUojUJU-VbgS56njXTdnrdQW6UJ_z6oJIn4xlbhOis/viewform?edit_requested=true

WHO: CPC Members and those interested in Astrophotography!

COST: $10 for CPC Members, $13 for non-members (includes membership fee!) (The money goes towards fuel costs for the drivers)

WHAT TO BRING: A camera & tripod, a lockable shutter release if you have one (that will allow you to sit down while your camera keeps shooting), a torch, and LOTS of warm clothing - don’t underestimate how cold it can get out there!

If you are wanting to drive, please let us know and we may be able to reimburse you for fuel

We’ll have a few prizes to give away for those attending, and we’ll be supplying some hot chocolate/tea/coffee and biscuits (please let us know if you have any dietary requirements).

If you have any questions regarding the event or transport just let us know!

Come along for an awesome night out in the wilderness! :)
