Burleigh Heads National Park

Organised by:
Bond University Bushwalking Society

Don your walking shoes, fill up your drink bottles and come join the Bond University Bushwalking Society (BUBS) for its inaugural bushwalk!

Enjoy your Easter Sunday morning with a scenic bushwalk through Burleigh Heads National Park. This is one of the most beautiful and diverse bushwalks in the Gold Coast with two tracks.

The first track, Rainforest Circuit, is 2.3km through dense rainforest making you forget you are in the middle of the Gold Coast. The second track, Oceanview Walk, is 2.4km along the shoreline reminding you of what makes Gold Coast great.

Hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, correct walking shoes (sneakers/cross trainers/hiking boots) and water (and a snack if you are prone to getting peckish). A small backpack is suggested for your belongings (including keys).

Meet at 0845 at the Tallebudgera Leisure Centre carpark before walking across the bridge as a group to Burleigh Heads National Park entrance. This particular carpark has been chosen as it has ample parking. The walk should take 1.5-2 hours depending on how many stops are taken. We will then all walk back across the bridge to the carpark to conclude the event.

Hope to see you there!

Tallebudgera Creek is an amazing saltwater inlet for a swim, therefore bring your bathers if you are keen for a swim after the walk! Leave your bathers in your car, and there are toilet/change facilities next to the carpark. (This will not be part of BUBS event).
