Clinical Education and Research Centre, Robina Hospital

Organised by:
Bond University Surgical Society BUSS

Calling all budding surgeons… The Bond University Surgical Society is proud to present the Inaugural Surgical Case Presentation Competition. Open to all 4th and 5th year students, the Surgical Case Presentation Competition offers an invaluable opportunity to show off your presentation skills in front of a panel of esteemed clinicians.

The Competition will be held on 20th September at BUCERC lecture theatre!

Competitors are required to submit a 300 word (maximum) abstract on a surgical case of their choice to natasha.mcnamara@student.bond.edu.au by the 1/09/16. The top 6 abstracts will be selected to present a 10min case. Case presentations will be followed with 5mins of questions and feedback.

The case judged to be of the highest calibre by the panel of clinicians will receive a one night stay at the luxurious Kingscliff Resort. A $50 Salas voucher will also be awarded to the audience’s choice (that's 25 tacos on taco Tuesday!) so make sure you bring your friends!

Not only does the Surgical Case Presentation Competition offer an opportunity to practice for your upcoming clerked case (or brush the cobwebs off your past surg rotation case), but also provides an opportunity to network with some of the Gold Coast’s most prestigious surgeons.

For those students in pre-clinical years (especially third years), come along to get ahead of the game when it will be your turn to present clerked cases.

This is a cocktail event, dinner and drinks will be provided.
