I agree, Damien is very lazy and forgets to turn up to lectures. The final exam was identical to the mid semester so he didn't test the second half of semester which we spent most of our time on revising! I have heard great things about Paul Chen so he might your guy if are thinking of taking this subject!

Damien is very hard to follow and it's bad luck if you don't click with his teaching style because he just teaches you from his own writings - also the final exam he gave was almost 100% identical to the midsem, very lazy.

As an Associate Lecturer for this course in 2011, I believe this course sets the foundation for economics. This is essentially all that is used in any job after you graduate with an Economics degree. It, however, does not allow for creative questioning of how the economy actually works.

Our lecturer's accent is great and I prefer the content over macro (very slightly but still). However, economics still bores me to tears so any class probably won't get he best rating from me (sorry!)
