ANU FINSOC are pleased to announce that the Global Microfinance Case Competition (GMCC) is back for 2016.

With Auckland Microfinance Initiative joining as a partner organisation, this is truly the most global GMCC yet!

What is a Case Competition you ask? Well, you form a team (3-4 students), we give you the case and you solve the case and submit your presentation to your participating university. If you’re lucky enough, you’ll get to deliver your presentation to a panel of judges and maybe even progress to the International Finals.

The annual Global Microfinance Case Competition is a competition designed to challenge students at universities across Australia and New Zealand, for a truly global problem: Providing financial services for the marginalised and creating opportunities for change.

Based on real life problems faced by many microfinance providers around the world, student competitors will have to use innovative thinking to create a practical solution to change the lives of borrowers across developing countries.

Do you have what it takes to be the change you want to see in the world?
