Lions Loved Threads - Gillies St Markets
1 November, 2015
Adelaide University Lions Club
AULC is headed to Adelaide's premier fashion markets - Gilles Street Markets - on November the 1st with our stall, Lions Loved Threads. Our stall will boast a range of vintage and quality secondhand fashion without the ridiculous prices.
All proceeds will be donated to Lions Club International, who improve peoples’ lives around the world, from combating vision problems, to responding to major catastrophes, and providing valuable life skills to youth.
So come to the markets on November the 1st and see what we have - get some Christmas gifts for others, or end of semester treats for yourself.
Donations are still being accepted, so grab that sweater you don't really wear anymore, those old soccer boots, or whatever else is cluttering your wardrobe, and make your donation.
We are also collecting shoes for Soles4Souls, which will be given to children, women and men in need in South Australia and interstate, who are disadvantaged because they do not own shoes or have inadequate footwear.
Donations should be in adequate condition - so no tears, holes or stains - and shoes should be gently worn or new. Once you have your donations prepared, contact Isaac Edward, Sarah Jamieson or Emily Underwood and organize to drop them off by Thursday the 29th of October.
Shoe donations can be dropped off on the day, November 1st at the Gilles St Markets.
To top it off, we are running a competition! Best donation stash will win a little drinks package with champagne, Cabernet Sauvignon and craft beers donated by Lions president, Isaac. So get to rummaging in your wardrobe, see what you want to donate, and we'll see you on November 1st for Lions Loved Threads at Gilles St Markets!
