Join two Barristers as they explain how to join the Bar, what its like to be a Barrister and their journeys to get to where they are now.
Presenter: Kylie Nomchong – Past President of NSW Young Lawyers 1994
Kylie was admitted to the Bar in 1997 and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2012. Kylie was elected as President of NSW Young Lawyers in 1994. She was later elected to the Council of the Law Society of NSW. She was the Chair of Law Society's Equal Opportuntity Committee from 1994 to 1996. Kylie has also held positions on the Board of the Public Interest Advocacy Centre, the College of Law, the Equal Opportunity Committee of the Law Council of Australia and the NSW Community Justices Centre.
Presenter: Renée Bianchi – President of NSW Young Lawyers 2016
Renée was called to the Bar in 2013. Since being at the Bar, Renée has built up a diverse practice in common law, commercial litigation and equity matters. Renée is the President of NSW Young Lawyers for 2016. Prior to her appointment as President, Renée was Vice President in 2015, Chair of the Civil Litigation Committee (from 2012-2015, and was vice chair from 2010-2012) and Executive Councillor (2011-2014).
